Downtown Seattle, Washington, is home to the famous Pike Place Market and a host of boutique eateries with breathtaking views of Puget Sound. As the hot spot for greater than 22 million tourists each year, SE Productions piloted a dynamic dining experience for the foodie willing to step outside of the box and into the home of the National Football League (NFL) Seattle Seahawks.
Field To Table (FTT) brings local award-winning chefs and restaurateurs to Lumen Field to serve delighted customers on the 8-yard line of the colossal football stadium. Our team indulged in an FTT adventure when David Nichols (chef and owner of Eight Row in Seattle) presented a four-course meal for roughly 200 gastronomes.
Is this type of event right for you and that special someone? Is the juice worth the squeeze, or was the vibe underwhelming? We've got you covered; pull up a chair and tune in...
Concept:
Maximizing professional sporting venues during the offseason presents a VIP experience for enthusiastic fans. Field goal kicks for charitable donations and various playful events lined the field for those who dared to participate. Yet, we were most impressed by the local partnerships with James Beard-nominated chefs like Kristi Brown (That Brown Girl Cooks!) and fabulous restauranteurs.
Environment: Several FTT staff greeted couples and ushered guests to the eight-yard line of the football field. A lighted pathway towards a spacious banquet tent concluded with a personal escort to the dining room. Commercial restaurant heaters and creative lighting decor warmed the eating space, fashioning a cozy, casual atmosphere.
Quality:
The food was fresh, locally sourced, and beautifully plated throughout the evening. Specialty cocktail pairings were available to balance the flavor profiles and reinforce subtle vegetal notes. Chef Nichol's imaginativeness is easily interpreted with delicious offerings and curated natural ingredients.
Date Night Vibes: The adventurous couple who doesn't mind eating on the run will get a kick out of the FTT "epic dining room" date night. The scene is fun, playful, and romantic, with an outdoor element that feels just right. We recommend making a reservation at FTT the next time you visit Downtown Seattle to see what all the fuss is about!
